Where to Start

If you are buying lifting equipment for the first time, read them in this order.

1

Work out what you actually need

Before model numbers, get the job clear: what weight, how high, how often, and in what conditions. The Buyer’s Guide walks through it without assuming you already know the vocabulary.

2

Decide between the obvious two options

Most purchases come down to powered versus manual. Read Electric vs Manual Hoist or Manual vs Electric Pallet Truck — the break-even point is usually about how many lifts a day you do.

3

Get the specification right

Capacity, lift height, voltage, chain grade and fork size are the details that turn a good product into the wrong one. Choosing an electric hoist and Grade 80 chain cover the two that cause the most trouble.

4

Know what to check before you use it

Read the hoist safety guide and the sling guide before the equipment goes into service, not after an incident. Both include the inspection points that actually catch failures.

Questions About This Blog

Short answers, so you do not have to email us to ask.

Do I have to register or give an email address to read these?

No. There is no sign-up, no gated download and no newsletter pop-up. Every article is a normal page you can read and close.

Who writes the articles?

Our own technical and export sales team. Anything stated as a standard, a load limit or an inspection rule is checked against the product documentation for the equipment we supply — if a figure matters to a decision you are making, confirm it on the product page or ask us directly.

Can I quote or translate an article?

Ask us first and we will usually say yes, particularly for translations that help buyers in your own market. Please do not republish an article in full on another site without asking.

My question is not covered here. Now what?

Email us or send a message on WhatsApp. If it is a question other buyers are likely to have too, we will turn the answer into an article — several of the posts above started as a single customer email.

How often do you publish?

When there is something worth writing, rather than on a fixed schedule. A smaller set of articles that answer real questions is more useful to you than a new post every week that says nothing.

Looking for specifications, capacities or a price rather than background reading? The product pages carry the technical detail, and a message to our sales team gets you a quotation.
